Lyrics

SNOWY MOUNTAIN STREAM

PUT THE LAMPS DOWN LOW AND FIND A PLACE TO LAY UP!
I WANNA SEE YOU LAUGH AND MAKE YOU FEEL AT EASE
GET UP CLOSE AND LET ME SMELL YOUR PERFUME
YOU KNOW YOU LIFT MY LIFEBOAT OUT OF STORMY SEAS
THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE ME FEEL
YOU CAUSE MY MIND TO REST AND LET IT ALL UNREEL
YOU'RE LIKE A COOL DRINK FROM A SNOWY MOUNTAIN STREAM

LET YOUR HAIR DOWN BABY AND TAKE OFF ALL THAT MAKEUP
YOU CAN HANG YOUR COAT OF THORNS UP BY MY DOOR
TAKE THE PHONE OFF THE HOOK AND BRING SOME SOME WINE AND EAT UPS
LET THE WORLD GO BY WHILE WE MAKE LOVE ON THE FLOOR
THAT'S HOW YOU LET ME KNOW--YOU MAKE MY SPIRIT FLY ABOVE THE FIRE BELOW
YOU'RE LIKE A COOL DRINK FROM A SNOWY MOUNTAIN STREAM
LEAD GUITAR

THAT'S WHAT YOU HELP ME FIND YOU KISS MY TEARS AWAY AND LEAVE A SATISFIED MIND
YOU'RE LIKE A COOL DRINK FROM A SNOWY MOUNTAIN STREAM

PUT THE LAMPS DOWN LOW AND FIND PLACE TO LAY UP
I WANT TO SEE YOU LAUGH AND MAKE YOU FEEL AT EASE
GET UP CLOSE AND LET ME SMELL YOUR PERFUME
YOU KNOW YOU LIFT MY LIFEBOAT OUT OF STORMY SEAS
LIFE'S NOT SUCH A BAD DEAL--YOU STEAL MY PAIN AWAY LIKE A CIRCUS SEAL
YOU'RE LIKE A COOL DRINK FROM A SNOWY MOUNTAIN STREAM
LEAD CARRIES IT OUT!

I like the vibe going on for sure

Sounds like???

Nice arrangement.

Cool little blues shuffle with a great rhythm guitar. Very catchy tune with fun lyrics.

There's a nice stop in use neat

Cool Blues tune! Liked the beat and good story line that with it. Well done!

Interesting blues- jazz groove. The lead vocal and vocal duet tracks were effectively "casual". Great guitars with solid rhythm and nice interplay by the leads. The couple of "rests"in the progression were unexpected, but added some subtle variation to the piece.

Very nice demo! I think the song would fit in a musical or a movie about a rich life.

The lead guitar is folded well into the mix. The rhythm guitar is played solidly, but a few more dynamics would help it hang better in the mix. 'Coat of thorns' is an interesting lyric but it doesn't make as much sense as it could given the 'romantic' vibe that the singer is trying to get across. Maybe use that lyric in a different song.

Little bit reminiscent of Mose Allison, loose jamming blues/jazz tune. Good vibes abound.

Pretty good although not great, vocals seem a little muffled. Reasonable job. I wouldnt stick it in the blues section probably more like rock.

I Love this Song, please do some more Excellent

This is definitely a juke joint blues infused with some jazz and rand b. I really liked the bass line and the guitar rhythm playing off each other. The song had a very nice flow and tempo to it. Nice Job sir. Keep up the good work.

Well played and sung...good writing

Sweet blues track. A little jazzy to boot.

This is a fun song I would like to hear more

As far as the pace goes...it moves really well...kinda sounds "live" or a one taker. The lead was good enough for this number and what lyrics I could catch were unique enough..."cold drink from a Mountain stream"?...

I like the kick off got a nice beat to get you into the song

Nice rhythm guitar intro. The vibe of the song and the hook are excellent. It's a very catchy song. I like the double vocals. The chord progression is lovely. The lead guitar parts work well. The song has a strong Steely Dan vibe.

Very original song.

interesting bluesy piece. Nice instrumentation

I very much liked the feel of this song. It is laid-back and like a nice warm summer breeze. I like the walking baseline, I like the goal with the syncopated rhythm guitar. The lyric, making love on the floor struck me in a good way. It confirmed the feel of the track. There is an easiness in the song that listeners like.

I think this is a really nice song that gives me jazz/blues vibes as well as a bit of having a bit of a rock Steely Dan kind of potential to explore.

Great tune nice hook

Great blues vibe. Great guitar work, loved the solos and lead guitar work. I would love to see this band live, they have a unique blues sound that I think would be even better to experience live.

The arrangement seems to go from Country to Bluesy and back to country. I listen to both genres and the song could fit as country best. It's catchy and I enjoyed it.

Nice vibe. Instrumentation is very nice. The instrumental solo and the harmonies accented the track nicely. Good job.

Vibey bluesy feeling.

Nice, intricate lead guitar work with a blues flavor to it. The song is well-performed and professionally done.

Overall, it is a good song that needs a little tweaking.

It's a fun song. Great song to drink to :)

Very sweet blues guitar intro! I like it! Interesting chord progression and sound is quite catchy.

Like the sound of the intro guitar...........like the jazz feel, very Hep!! I would like the vocal to be just a tad more out front! Somewhat hard to understand the lyrics...but they sound interesting!! Sounds a little like Mr. Hendrix, can't get any better than that!! Great Job my friend!!! Let's hear more!!! Wowza!!!

I like the lead vocals and the backing vocals as well - I also like the sound of the bass guitar sounds a bit like Steely Dan.

This song has a cool groove. I'm not sure I know what defines a song as Chicago Blues. The band sounds like they have a lot of fun playing together; there is a nice groove and some cool licks in there. You've got some great imagery and word pictures in your lyric writing (stormy seas, cold drink from a snowy mountain stream, take off your make-up).

I like how the voices blend with each other, gives it a smooth feeling. The guitar is good and makes you want to move and get up and dance.
Lyrics are great.

Very nice. We like your approach to the blues.
